Who Knew?

February 7th 2013. Who knew peeing on a stick at 5:30 AM would forever change our lives? Sure, we had been talking about it for a while and had technically "prepared" for this; however, in that moment I never felt more unprepared in my entire life.

That morning, I was such a ball of emotions. We both were. I was happy for the coming blessings, sad that it meant everything will change, and absolutely terrified because everything seemed different now and we don't know how we will make it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty proud of the fact that we've kept our cats alive for a few years now, but I'm told that a baby is somewhat different.

That's why I started this blog. Exquisitely Clueless. Not that my husband and I are completely clueless (though he may be) but I'm sure that every first time mom feels this way at first. Maybe this title will change later to "Exquisitely Content" or "Exquisitely Clever" or maybe even "Exquisite Disaster."

For now though, I intend to document our clueless journey to parenthood and figuring out our new place in life.
